How do we know an intervention is actually creating impact? A session for management students on Theory of Change, monitoring and evaluation.
What we did
At the invitation of the Insight-X Case Study Club at the School of Management Studies, CUSAT, Sonal led a session on one simple but powerful question: how do we know our interventions are actually creating impact?
Students worked through how development and CSR programmes move from activities and outputs to outcomes and long-term impact, using Theory of Change, monitoring and evaluation, and impact evaluation.
Why it matters
Conversations about evidence, attribution and measuring change help the social sector move beyond good intentions towards impact it can show. We hope to keep building them with CUSAT and other institutions.
